DISCIPLINE POLICY
Ross Prairie Elementary takes pride in being a school that focuses on character education as well as academics. Our Positive Behavior Support is a system that focuses on improving a student's management skills in order to promote constructive behavior, social relationships, academic achievement, and the health and safety of all our students.
PBS is implemented in every classroom and throughout all school settings (i.e. Cafeteria, Walkways, Bus, Car Line and Field trips)
The PBS system is easy to remember if you use "The Three R's"
- Be respectful
- Be responsible
- Be a role model
From time to time it becomes necessary to discipline children for misbehavior. All teachers are responsible for putting in place a classroom management procedure that will enhance the opportunity for learning to take place for all students.
